A busy time in the vineyards and the wineries as the grapes are picked and processed. The autumn colours on the vines make this a lovely time to visit.
Easter
In 2012 Easter falls on the weekend of 7th April, a great opportunity to camp before putting the tent away for winter.
Martinborough Fairs
NEW DATE ADDED. Held on the first Saturday of February and March, these are the largest craft fairs in Australasia. The March Fair was cancelled due to bad weather this year so Rotary are hoping to rerun it on May 5th.
Golden Shears
The World's premier Shearing and Wool handling Championships takes place in Masterton during the first weekend in March.
Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival
2013 date tbc. Showcasing sensational wines and food from throughout the Wairarapa region, this relatively new event already has a loyal following.
Trust House Balloons over Wairarapa
2013 event tbc. Balloons from around New Zealand take part in this three day balloon extravaganza.
Round the Vines
2012 date tbc. Walk or run through the vines with a 10 or 21km course.
